Golf Course Information
Fifteen months of course improvements are what you will find at Stonebridge. Five completely new or changed holes toughen the oldest course in the panhandle of West Virginia. We are extremely proud and excited about the cchanges that have taken shape during this project. Stonebridge was purchased nine years ago by Keith Wagner. Under his direction, the course and clubhouse has seen two million dollars in upgrades and new amenities
Stonebridge has reversed the nines, so the eighteenth hole finishes at the clubhouse along the newly expanded observation deck. The front nine starts with a Par 5 and begins a stretch of holes the regulars refer to as Stonebridges interpretation of Amen Corner. Hole #12 is a total new hole with the green designed after #12 at Augusta National, with #13 being a difficult Par 3 of 200 yards from the tips. The Par 5 #14 is now the number one handicap hole with a new pond located in front of the green. This, for the brave, is a true meaning of risk and reward. The West Virginia U.S.G.A. says the new eighteenth hole may be one of the finest finishing holes in the state. Reconstruction on the course is now at 99% completion, with the focus being directed towards some black top work on cart paths and finishing touches on tee boxes.
